I can hardly find the words to express what your music has done for me. I've choreographed dances to "Wildflower" which is one of the most beautiful songs ever written. The passion and intensity is beyond words. Every time I listen to your songs it brings back fond memories of yesterday. Your version of "It's Impossible" is a masterpiece and "Until it's Time for You to Go" is astounding. Yes, I am captivated. Do you have a fan club? You guys were a great band and certainly a group to be reckoned with... then and now. Can you understand it? Well it's been such along time since you've made the charts but todays music and the music from your/our era can not even be compared. The artists from your era sang from the heart and with so much passion. It's just not the same. It seems as though some of the artist today sing for fame or monetary gain. Are you guys on myspace?

The New Birth was my "coming of age" music as I moved from my teens into young adulthood at the tender age of 17. I always remember "I Can Understand It" and called "Wildflower" my theme song for many years!!! Now, at the tender age of 52 years young, I heard New Birth again on my Sirius radio station "Soul Town" and decided to replace some of my favorite music from that era by purchasing "The Very Best of The New Birth Inc" Thank you, fellas, for making an old lady feel young again!!! And, thanks for the memories!

I missed the show that you had with Bloodstone due to illness, however, what I would like to know is, will there be another show here in the Philadelphia area with New Birth and Bloodstone? I heard from a friend who also missed the show, a co-worker said that the show was fabulous. Of course I am so jealous. Please write back and let me know when, with whom and where you will be performing (hopefully in the Phila, NJ or DE area). A repeat of the concert at the Phila Armory would be great. When I saw New Birth at the Civic Arena in Pittsburgh, Pa back in the 70's, I remember, two males and two females. Who were the two women? I agree with DC resident. The show was awful. The song selections were not in tuned with the old school crowd. People in DC want to go back to memory lane not left with bad memories. Very disappointing. How can a band with so much experience loose the crowd in the middle of a song more than once. I frequent the Carter Baron for over 20 years and have seen many shows even old school bands. That over all performance was by far the worst. If a band is good they will stay till the end. They do not start leaving after the second song. Heartbreaking.

Growing up in Kalamazoo Mi I remember everyone wanted to sing your songs in the talent shows I used to sing I Can Understand It in the talent show. And our mother would allow us to stay up at night when New Birth was going to be on TV. I am looking for your live concerts on DVD, I know you was on PBS Soundstage back in the 70's and Austin City Limits and NBC Midnight Special. Can anyone who read this comment please tell me where I can purchase them. I have all of your records and have converted them over to CD.
