To this day, when I get home from work I get on my computer, check emails, do a little business, etc. and all the while I have my earphones on listening to, what I call, the "REAL" back-in-the-day tunes. AT the top of my playlist is New Birth. The R&B and fun style that New Birth exemplified is making a STRONG comeback. Last time I saw New Birth was a few years ago at Mosley's On The Charles. Leslie and Melvin, I saw New Birth in the early 70s'on a concert with Gladys Knight and the Independents. The lead singer was in the hospital and his brother along with the rest of the grouped turned it out. My sister and I went to the hotel that you were staying at and met the group. Some of the singers wanted to go out and I ended up driving them to one of the hot clubs here in Columbia, SC. That was also my 17th birthday. That was a lot of fun. Needless to say, you became my favorite group after that night. I will be purchasing your cd. I would love to purchase a dvd of the New Birth and I hope that one will become available soon. I LOVE THIS GROUP, I was a producer in the entertainment business shooting music video's when I met Austin and Tony at Lacy Production Studio in Los Angeles and I was plesantly surprised when I learned that they where apart of New Birth. I introduced the music to my children and now they can carry the music into the future because it is timeless. I have always loved you guys. Leslie, you have a voice that is God given. Awesome! You are my brother's favorite group. Anytime he comes around, he is singing a New Birth song. New Birth!!! I have to tell you the song that will always be my fav is "I Can Understand It". I loved dancing off that song. Gosh, I was about 15-16 when that hit the airwaves and my first LOVE (boyfriend) purchased that album . . . the "black" album we called it!! LOLO It was great! I also loved "Time for you to Go." It was sad, but beautiful too. That note at the end, still gets me today. I have nothing but wonderful memories regarding you guys! Those were the best songs then. Even when some of the artist today sample those songs of long ago, it still takes me back and I feel warm all over . . . again. :) Peace!

Who sampled "K-Jee" in 1990 or 1991 for their rap song? He sounded British and his raps mentioned several American cities. The song got some airplay at the time, but I have not heard it since. Your original version of "K-Jee" is one of my favorites- much better than the MFSB version on a well-known late 70's disco record. By the way, I'm a major fan of most 70's era music- even though I was a child then. I keep digging up new stuff that barely got played even then. Too bad so many people don't know about some of your music. Since there is a market for small run vinyl production- how about some of your early albums? These things sell for about $20 for an audiophile reproduction of an original and I'm sure you could sell a couple thousand copies.

I have been through a lot i got marrieed 3 years ago and i fell out of love with my husband but trying to make it work for my 11 year old step daughter i came into this marrige with but one grown son and my son basisly take care of his self but he had 7 childern that treats me like cramp iam about to walk away from it all but i know what god words says he doesnt treat me like a wife i also take care of his sick brother. but i get no thank you are nothing we havent had sex in 2 months we havent slept together at all san you all give me any advice god bless
